McKay drilling continues to develop and maintain afleet of the latest model drill rigs and support equipment utilising the latest innovations and technology.
REVERSE CIRCULATION DRILLINGThe Reverse Circulation rig fleet consists of latest model, high capacity Schramm T685 drill rigs fully compliant to Australian standards.
The rigs and support equipment are designed and maintained for the toughest and most remote drilling projects.
Both all-wheel drive truck and track mounted units are available.
McKay Drilling has introduced two industry-first Schramm T685i drilling rigs to grow the Reverse Circulation division.
The rigs feature a remote control panel that allows the Driller to operate up to eight metres away from the the rig.
The introduction of these rigs is a significant step forward for the development of safety and control features in reverse circulation drilling method.
Mckay Drilling specialises in all aspects of Reverse Circulation drilling including Grade Control, Bulk Sampling, Metallurgic Sampling, Geotechnical and Deep Reverse Circulation.
DIAMOND DRILLINGThe Diamond Drilling rig fleet consists of latest model, high capacity drill rigs fully compliant to Australian standards.
The new drills are fitted out with the latest hands free remote operation and monitoring technology.
All rigs and support equipment are mounted on all-wheel drive vehicles.
The unique LF350 can operate with automated drilling at shift changes and not only features hands-free rod handling but also incorporates an innovative retraction system that removes all hydraulic cylinders from the mast assembly.
This rig is the first in Australia and will dramatically increase personnel safety and safe work practices.
Mckay Drilling specialises in all aspects of Diamond Drilling including Metallurgic Sampling, Bulk Sampling, Geotechnical Investigations, Deep Directional and Navi Drilling.
HYDRO DRILLINGThe Hydro Drilling rig fleet consists of a late model heavy duty Schramm 685 drill rig with 110,000lb pull back capacity, fitted with a tilt out head for easy of operation, 28” table opening, foremost rod handler capable of handling drill pipe and collars up from 4” to 10 ¾”.
The drill rig is supported by a remote hands free casing presenter.
The drill and support equipment is fully compliant to Australian standards.
