0/5 WorldVitizen 27/10/2021 TripAdvisor review Checked into Room 1019 late at night and was really tired after fight fro SP and the car ride for 2 hours.
So I went to bed.
After an hour or so went to open the bathroom door and was blown away with the raw sewage smell coming through the drain in the floor.
It was obvious that they were aware of the smell because they had urinal air freshener placed over the drain.
That night I slept with the window wide open to the street noise and the bathroom door closed.
Changed rooms and smell was reduced by 75%.
Still using urinal air freshener pad.

All the guests were unhappy about the amenities and the fact the restaurant was closed.
No bilingual signs were also a problem.

If you know the brand you know all about the bang for buck that mercure has.
The only downside is in the winter the rooms are very cold.
No heating system.

I did not like it and was very inconvenient.
If did not have this problem I would give the best evaluation possible.
We had some delays on pool bar and others minor datails but the elevators was the main problem.
