Applied Molecular Biology Lab - - Toggle navigation LAPLIC Language Applied Molecular Biology Lab Pathogen molecular identification, bioinformatics and innovation About us The team of the Applied Molecular Biology Laboratory - LAPLIC is dedicated to study genomes of pathogens that are of zootechnical and medical importance.
From our studies we have developed tools for detection, classification and control of these pathogens.
Whenever possible, we convert the results of our research into products or processes in order to meet the demands of the productive sector.
The LAPLIC was created in January 2012, and currently is located in the Department of Biochemistry of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.
Research Interests Viruses that infect protozoa crustaceans and insects Our group is dedicated to the study of genomes of viruses that infect protozoa, crustaceans and insects.
We sought to identify the elements that regulate the transmission, virulence and virus-host symbiosis.
Our work generally addresses the structure of the genome, characterization of regulatory and variable region elements, molecular epidemiology and phylogenetic studies.
We are also interested in studies involving structural and functional genomics of protozoa, crustaceans and insects, focusing on the following topics: Graduate students Undergraduate students Collaborators Publications Contact 2017 © Todos os direitos reservados para LAPLIC.
