Couples - 03/01/2018 « Comfortable, but few employees » I went at last day of year and the hotel not appear full.
But we needed waited many minutes to get to the elevator, to do check-in and check out, eat in the restaurant on breakfast.
We closed the especial dinner and we had disappointed.
Few varietades and nothing of tradicional dinner of new year.
However, the hotel is much comfortable, family atmosphere and polite.

 » I had a great experience in my few days at Mercure Alamedas.
The staff was friendly, polite and efficient for my needs or inquiries.
I just would mention two points about phone calls.
I am not sure if I missed, but I was charged fir phone calls, but I did not notice any message about charging phone calls.
May be because I call a mobile phone.
The other point is that I received nine emails with nine different booking codes, but I did only one booking.

The bathroom was too small and the hot water wasn’t really working too.
We were willing to stay longer, but only stayed for one night.

I was on a business trip and was unable to use the Wi-fi to connect to work in my room.
Other than this, it was a reasonably good stay.
If I return to the city again for leisure purposes I might choose this hotel but for business I might look elsewhere, The Air Conditioning worked well however it was very noisy suggesting that some maintenance is required.

Upon arrival asked reception for some help with communication with the airport due to lost lugage, they (or rather she, single person) was unwilling to do so.
Beds were ok but the pillows were way too thing even when doubling up.
Did not sleep very good due to this.
Rest of the stay was fine, other staff was friendly enough.

Solo - 09/11/2017 « Beautiful room, excellent location, helpful front desk attendance, conflicts with booking reservations.
 » I really enjoyed the location of the hotel; the room in & of itself is beautiful, modern, & comfortable; the front desk employees very exceptional.
However, my actual booking reservation was not found in your system.
I booked through an app called Rocketmiles.
Rocketmiles pre-charges at the time of booking.
Because the reservation did not appear in the hotel system when I arrived, I was charged again for the stay.
In other words, I've been charged by the app service & by the hotel.
It will be resolved, and the front desk employees were very flexible when I arrived, but its still an inconvenience.

Families - 07/11/2017 « The De Franco Restaurant was quite good.
 » The room we had was good.
However, the reception area is too small.
The reception staff were not particularly friendly.
However, Julia and Thiago were excellent.
Julia, in particular, has real talent for hospitality and should be marked fro promotion.
Her English is excellent.
The lifts are just too small.
The house keeping services were poor.
We were entilted to bottles of fresh water.
We had on a number of occasions to phone for this.
On 2 occasions we left our room early in the morning.
Returning at 2 pm, we found the room had not been made up.
On the third day we left a note with reception with Miss Thais Candide, saying we would return at 2pm and asking that the room be made up.
She failed to pass the message to housekeeping and the room was not made up.
She subsequently phoned me up to say that she thought we were checking out.
Your records would clearly show when we were actually checking out.
Her explanation over the phone-made i English- was utterly incomprehensible.
As a result.
I had to leave a written note each day at the reception to ensure that our rooms were made up by 2 pm when we returned to the hotel.
Does a guest have to also be a supervisor to see that the job is done properly?De Franco is a good restaurant.
The staff is friendly.
The Saturday buffet excellent.
We ate some wonderful risottos.
Breakfast is a bit boring.
The bread and cakes were often stale.
Only scrambled eggs are available; why not fried eggs.
The fruit selection at breakfast is good.
De Franco does have a very tired look about it.
My wife and I are clients of Accor.
We have had wonderful stays at the Sofitell Metropole (Hanoi), Sofiitel Ponte Seis ( Macau) , Sofitel Phoenix ( Yogjakarta), and the Pullman( Da Nang.
).
Out of respect for Accor I shall not be doing a review of your hotel on TripAdvisor.
I am extremely disappointed at the service prided by Mercure Sao Paulo Alamedas.
My wife and I will be avoiding any future stays at a Mercure hotel elsewhere in the world, and especially in Asia where we ;live.
